«Zhiguli» is one of the legends of Russia still leading in the market to this day. The Moscow Brewing Company has preserved the traditional beer recipe that has existed for decades, has survived different regimes and historical periods, along with the whole country. «Zhiguli» beer has been praised more than once in many films and books; it is remembered by all citizens of the countries of the former Soviet Union. In the 1960s, the «Zhiguli» restaurant was opened in the center of Moscow, which brought the beer brand of the same name even wider popularity. Beer that is affordable for everyone!

Since 2008, we were lucky to play an important role in the revitalization of the brand by being a brand guardian and working on the brand strategy, identity, packaging design and communication.

Together with the brand team, we’ve been working and helping the brand to develop and evolve over the years,  however keeping the charm of Soviet romanticism in the retro-futuristic style of “Zhiguli Barnoe” interpreted in a contemporary way, fitting the modern world.

The brand icon in the form of a soaring bird has become an integral symbol of the brand, characterizing the freedom and strength of the Russian soul.

In addition to label design, a unique bottle and label shape has been developed. The original color combination made the brand easily recognizable and noticeable on the shelf.
